Application Identity and Launch page – April 2011
Overview
We were approached by Adapptor to create an identity for their upcoming trending news application, 'Currently'. The intention was to design an appealing icon/logo which worked well in many formats and referenced its purpose and origins.
The result is a strong, symbolic icon based on its original format as a newspaper, with old style influences. As part of the same project, we were also invited to design the 'launch' page for the application and are currently working on elements of the app's interface.
Response
I called on Humaan to produce some elegant designs for our iPhone app, which they produced incredibly quickly. Not only that, but the designs were brilliant, and everyone who sees it thinks they look great. We've since gone back to Humaan for more design work for the same mobile app, and plan to continue to use them for any other apps that we create. Humaan makes it easy to do business with them.
